I just received an email that AquaBiomic is closing. Anyone else get it? This is so unfortunate. Hopefully someone else can take over this type of business.

Yep, I got it. It's disappointing for sure. I have a test kit I need to use, so I guess I'll be sending in another sample soon.
I will say that my first sample took FOREVER to process. I waited like 2 months for the results and they were terrible at answering my emails and had no phone number to call.

Curious, did you use it, and if so, did it give you anything that helped keep your reef tank?

I always did find it useful and actionable. Early on...when I was having coral loss issues, the report would show high levels of Vibrio and high concentrations of a couple known coral pathogens.....especially Arcobacter. A post Oxolinic Acid treatment report then showed no detectable presence of those pathogens and reduced Vibrio percentage.....and all was right with the world again.
I used future tests....about once per quarter....to detect rising levels in any known coral pathogens. A couple marginal results did prompt me to act with an OA treatment even though no visible coral issues could be seen. I didn't experience any further coral health issues since using the test results in this manner.
I never was terribly concerned about what my bacterial make-up consisted of....except as just curiosity. I was mostly concerned about any known coral pathogen (especially Arcobacter) presence or abnormally high Vibrio counts.

There is a business in Australia that is offering something similar. Unfortunately they are not taking in samples outside of country.
If one was using the tests to see about ich or velvet there is a test offering one can do at home that is getting some positive feedback. One can search and get the company name.
With regards to Aquabiomics - always difficult to start a small business. I can only imagine how much more difficult it would be in this hobby. More so with a service offering such as this that may require broader knowledge when consuming the results.
