Aquaforest Nitrate Test Kit

So I am always curious to see what everyone is using to test. One of the things I recently found is the @Aquaforest NO3 Nitrate TestPro Test Kit. I use Salifert and Hannah, as you can see in the below picture, but switched to Aquaforest for Nitrate. The color card is what did it for me. The card is waterproof, and much more durable then what was in the Salifert kit. Anyone else using it? What is everyone else testing with?

I like that they say 1 to 2.5 ppm best results for your corals. Regardless I have used many different tests for no3, not this one however and imo, Hanna Low Range is the only test kit for the serious reef hobbyist.

You mean this craziness..I have it and prefer the color chart in the Aquaforest/Salifert, unless Hanna is needed to verify. A lot easier test for the result. Simplicity means I'll test it more often.

Lol.... I guess it could be fun. You know the saying once it becomes work, it's not fun. I did coral research in grad school and worked in chemical manufacturing for quite a few years, measuring samples for 12 hour shifts. Love reefing, but not titration.

I use Aqua Forest for nitrates and phosphates calcium and magnesium...even though the color chart is hard for me to tell the differences between the blues on the phosphates test I like it a lot!

I didn't realize they had test kits... still hanna for phosphate for me

Yep, AF has a lot of different kits, I didn't know about them either until I saw a video on YT...I like Hanna Instruments also, mainly due to no color charts and ease of use...I'm adding a few more when I can get them on sale...so far I only have alk, magnesium and salinity...And it's always a good idea to have multiple kits just to be on the safe side of things...
