Bonus! So here’s my tank and it’s transformation. Started out as a 90 gallon (1st pic) and that’s how I figured out how to get good at this game. Just last year I upgraded to a 125 gallon (2nd pic) with a 60 gallon remote basement sump and support system. Very simple. Black box and T5 lights, ditched the sand and went bare bottom, lots of flow, decent skimmer and I dose 2 part. I do a 5 gallon bucket water change once a week. I basically only care about alk and calcium, don’t chase nutrients and feed the tank well, as little processed food as possible. That’s it. Once your get your parameters into the sweet spot,
Keep it there and let it bake. I’ve started to get tremendous growth as of late with this method. I’m more than happy to answer questions!
