Anyone here have any experience with the Aqualine 10k halides? Im looking for a bulb that's as close as possible to the XM 10k. I have read the Aqualine is real close.

I have some of their bulbs. I also have Reefbrite,Reefbrite Twin Arc, and Ushio bulbs. They are all good options but don't have the same output as the old XM bulbs.

The XM 10ks are at the top of my wish list. Never got to try them unfortunately.

That’s crazy! From who?

I’ve been offered 1 or 2 in the past but not worth it to me unless I have a supply that can last several years.
A guy I met through Ebay. He comes up with stuff all the time. Im hoping he finds more.

You can get the Ushio 10Ks.
Also, Aqua Bright Solutions is another great option!

Glad to see you back. I actually have both of those bulbs. I haven't tried them yet. I tried Reefbrite and Reefbrite Twin Arc. They were both decent but didn't have the same punch as the XM's.

Aqualine Buschke 10K is a nice lamp.
White 10k color, you will probably want some blue/violet/actinic added to it but it a great bulb with nice spectrum and intensity.
Grew SPS and everything else under it well, that bulb grew huge dense SPS colonies back in the day.

Can’t even believe you found them, do you have a source or did you just have stockpile of old bulbs?

I’m sitting on a case of brand new 65k iwasakis

I stumbled across some. They are not cheap though at over $100 per bulb. I may just pass on them and try the Ushios when the time comes.
