This was before i purchased the tank

Major issue with Aiptasia and Algae i know most of you would probably just walk away from tank like this but i like the challenge.

This was my first rock scape and just through the rock in after moving the tank to my house and left it for few days to settle before looking at a better scape. i scrubbed most of the rocks off before placing them in the tank which removed most of the aiptasia and algae.

visited the LFS and picked up some epoxy and built a better rock scape with plenty of gaps and shelfs which to place corals to grow fixed some of the frags to rock work and GSP to the back wall as like that carpeting effect you can get across the back of the tank.

I have also had a good clean-up of the coralline algae growing on back of the tank and wave make and on the glass turned wave maker and sump return off for 30 mins and let algae settle in tank on the rocks and have notice new coralline algae growth on the rocks in last few days.

I've treated the tank to nice upgrade and got an AI Prime 16 HD in white to match the tank it looks nice so much better then the Aqua one Mariglo

I'm using the lighting profile from AI Website that David Saxby has shared and wow is all i can say its running amazingly really seeing difference in the corals already.

I'm well impressed with the new light. I'm already seeing massive difference in my mushrooms and Zoa's and its only been less then 24hrs seeing better polyp extension from my GSP and Duncan is loving it he looks so much happier now.

The Montiporia that had just purchased that had started to bleaching out i think a bit from light stress of the old Mariglo has turned right around over night and looking much better bleaching has almost gone already

Just little update

well as expected while I got the new light dialled in we had little bit of algae out break so we wrapped the tank up for 48 hours and had a black out. Algae is has now subside enough I’ve reduced the intensity and photo period to 8 hours.

New live stock
2 Scarlet hermits
1 Peppermint shrimp
3 Nassarius Snails
1 Yellow Wrasse

Bit of a boost to clean up crew and Peppermint shrimp to finish off the small Aiptasia that are hard to treat with Aiptasia X.
