Aquarium canopy

I’m looking to make a canopy for a 75 gallon tank, 4’. I have two 4’ T5 and Sb reef light 36” led. I want to hang the led on top of canopy and the t5 under the canopy so they are at same height. Do you think 1x2 soft would can hold weight or should I use 2x4 because of the weight

I don’t use t5s anymore but mine were just fine on 1x2 sideways and mine were 6’ 4bulbs each. I wouldn’t think you’d have a problem. Good luck happy reefing.

I built my canopy myself it's it's made out of one by two Oak and Oak plywood
