I have an inkbird and a single heater. Can I also hook up a fan for cooling? How does that work?

I believe it has to be one that has one plug for heat and one for cooling one temp probe. I looked into one when I first started, but ended up just manually turning my fans on.

If you do not have an Apex ( I am sure Hydros will also ) Inkbird will be your most economical route.

The Inkbird also has audible alarm for too high or too low temps

No, 306A is what I bought. It supports 2 heaters. You want the ITC 308. Amazon product ASIN B01HXM5UAC

I found the one with the plastic temp probe, that is to say they make one

I already had this in my shopping cart. Just hit the order button. I looked at the Inkbird, it looks good, but then i have to buy a fan too. I currently have the Inkbird that supports 2 heaters, but it is not my heaters that overheat my tank, it is the ambient room temp, the pumps, and the lights. i think this will work. Will let you know.

Jebao ACF-300 arrived a couple days ago. It definitely works. It does not blow extra hard, but it is enough to do the job. It is large, but unobtrusive. I don't think you would get it on a tank much smaller than my IM 25 lagoon. Temp probe was not long enough for me to mount the controller on my control panel inside the stand, so I stuck it on the side of the stand. We will see how it holds up. Thanks for the tip!

I saw that and was concerned of exactly what I am seeing. Is blowing across the top with a lid efficient enough? Right now I have my fans on each tank controlled by my apex, but it would be nice not to have to give up an EB832 outlet.

It seems to be efficient enough, but it is a small system... I could gin up a mounting bracket to elevate the fan and point it down more towards the water surface. I may do that anyway to make the gear in the back chamber a little more accessible.

Here is what I currently have to work with for mounting possibilities, but I kind of like it where it is now.
