I like the Acrylic idea where did you find that. Would not mind a picture if you don't mind. I would redo mine for sure
I’ve used Walter Lids and they’re terrific. You give them the measurements and they custom make an acrylic lid to fit your tank. Prices are very reasonable on service is great.

Thank You for the information. I will have a look , but wonder if they would even ship to me. That is one of the reasons I am a DIY person, and encourage others to do the same most things attached to the name Aquarium some h

become very expensive. I intend since I have already made the lids to because the frames are painted aluminum and may eventually rust Frame them with the material shown, and then seal that with Aquarium grade Silicone. Look how much that costs 😂. However I am always trying to improve. My first attempt was using Stainless screen. I thought I had something . however it was not a good grade and started to rust, and when I was on a different thread I checked them with my Par meter and found that they lowered the light intensity by 35-30 percent. So I found the new mesh on Amazon that was advertised as for Aquariums and had a quarter inch spacing which should stop jumpers. And would not block light. This I proved to be correct . At twenty inches in salt water it dropped a value of 2 given margin of possible error. Another reason I am doing the reframing thing is to add more weight since my Tang proved it was Powerful enough to chase my Diamond Goby out of the tank, and treated my lid like a leaf. I am assuming you meant Water Lids Walter is my first name, and I don't recall starting a business😀. I am waiting for a bit to open the groove from quarter inch to 3 eights hoping I can do it without it melting and making a mess . Or I will have to think of another way to do it. Anyone have an idea?

Well its Walter lol yes but I did not take the time to input my tank dimensions. He seems to cater to smaller tank owners but nice products.
