I am getting close to filling my display tank for the first time, but before doing so wanted to find out if anyone has any opinions on my location. My proposed tank location is on an exterior wall and immediately on the other side of the wall is a 400A electric service panel. Does anyone have experience with or have an opinion on whether or not these high currents in close proximity to my reef tank would create any EMF issues for the inhabitants?

Under max home power usage I am typically at around 50 A. A quick calc (assuming infinite straight conductor) gave an approximation of around 320 mG at the tank (assumed 12 in). As a comparator I found a past post that suggested that an MP10 generated 2000+ mG. This would suggest to me that my close proximity to my electric service panel should not be an issue for my reef tank.

Do others concur?
