Aquarium overflow

Seems I have drilled my Fiji cube 800 overflow box roughly 1/8” too high.
reason I say this is water is touching bottom of trim.
Any issues I may have in the future with this?
many way to lower it? I have not drained my tank below the overflow yet to see if there is any play yet with the bulkhead and the bulkhead hole. I do not recall if there is while installing.
