When I received this tank it was defective and replaced right away by the company. So now I have 2 and this was the problem with the first one. The seal was slightly over cut somehow. The main seal is untouched, the thick piece holding the glass together. This is a 6 foot peninsula and well made other than this defect. Would you use it? Would filling the missing piece with aquarium silicone be ok, or does it need completely resealed? I’m not going to tackle a complete reseal job but hate to not use this aquarium. Opinions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I would say you could just put some more over it. It doesn't look like it's the sealant that's in between the panes and keeping them together.

Perhaps unsightly to a perfectionist but should be perfectly fine functionality wise. I dont think you have anything to worry about IMHO

Thanks for the response. That’s what I was hoping.
