Hey all,

After 3-4 years I am back into the hobby (wife allowed it lol) -- She mentioned she wanted to do a Harem clown tank with mainly anenomes. Two questions.

1. Could you guys give me some ideas on aquascapes? Currently in the process of deciding how to build the scape out.
2. Also, I read alot about anenomes and most people say we cant mix types, since it will likely have chemical warfare etc. so we are leaning towards one of these three, CC supernova, Colorado Sunburst , Chicago sunburst.

My wife likes Chicago, I like Colorado. Supernova are just nice also. Whats everyones favorite of the 3?

Regarding warfare, I have kept many BTAs of 4 different colors next to each other with no issues. At the moment I have (next to each other, literally touching themselves :)) a BTA (green), a Crassa and a Heteractis Magnifica. Another BTA (red) is on the other side of the tank.

Regarding aquascape idea - if I were to do it now, I'd go for a wide columnish build with caves around it. It all depends on the tank you have. The anemones take a lot of space once grown, so the rock part should be minimalistic imho. The tank will look empty in the beginning.

Thanks for the response everyone. It will be a 95-100g tank, the one i have atm is the UNS R120.

How large is your tank? That will help with choosing an aquascape

This thread is a very good read about mixing anemones!

Appreciate it, will look into this. Tank size, will be the R120 from UNS.

like the others said mixing those three should be completely fine and honestly would be the safest mix compared to something like mixing with black widows (which I've found to for some reason be very aggressive) or with holy grail btas which seem to be more sensitive to mixing. if you only want to go with one of the strains I would personally go with csb, I love mine and it glows onto the rocks around it with its brightness
