Hi All

I’ve been reefing for around 10 years now but don’t really have anything impressive to show for it as I’ve been terrible for restarting different tanks over and over again. I think this is d aue to lack of patience, having to much time to think and pick fault as well as having to much tank envy over pictures online.

I’ve only attempted to venture into SPS once but I came up against the same issues mentioned above and then stating that SPS will be to hard and shutting down the tank (before even trying).

Maybe it's age or maybe it's now that I have more stuff going on in life that I'm finding myself more and more patient with my tank. However if this is going to work i'd like some opinions of my Aquascape's suitability for SPS long term. I'm concerned that the Aquascape may have to little room for Corals and to much shading.

My goal is to create a stunning nano tank over the next 2 to 3 years but to do so I believe I need to get my base right. My tank is a Waterbox 60.2 with two Kessil A360s however I feel I will need at least one more to light the middle of the tank

Thanks

Welcome to R2R! Looks great to me, for that size tank it should work good for sps and you can keep your lower light stuff on the bottom.

be sure to say hello in the meet and greet section of the forum :)

Howdy and welcome to R2R. Looks good to me. I might suggest moving the columns "off-center" and angling them slightly. Sounds like you have figured out the magic of reef-keeping..."patience" and research. ;Bookworm

I really like your aquascape. The ledges and height look cool. I wouldn't worry about shading, just keep your ledge corals pruned accordingly.
Not sure you need a light in the middle, but you could always add an Aquaillumination Prime to give a boost in the middle.
You have a nice collection of LPS there, maybe consider doing a build thread. Then you can get feedback on your journey to a stunning nano tank!

Hi All
Some progress shots. I’ve added a number of frags and sold some LPS.

I seem to be struggling with Cyno or red hair algae (not sure which).
Nitrates are at 2.0 (Salifert)
Phosphates 0.0 (Hanna Checker)

Ive been dosing Coral essentials Gro and Aminos I might need to give them a break.
