You would want to install them by pairs. Inner lamps together with the (I) on the silicon sockets and the Outer lamps (O) for the outer lamps using the silicon sockets. If they are switched it will flash and turn off.

Let us know.
Well the bulbs are are installed correctly, I picked up another pair so I have all four bulbs now but it still does the same thing

There are two independent ballast in the system and are not linked other than by power cord. The fixture are tested a few time during assembly to make sure there are no problems.

Can you send a few photos of the setup and installation to [email protected]? I can send you some troubleshooting details to check the T5 lamps. These are all new tested lamps?

With them flashing and turning off it would indicate the ballast are activating the end of life protection. This happens when one of the two lamps are not working or functioning correctly.

I’m not at home currently, but I will send pictures as soon as I can, the light hasn’t been set up yet on my tank it’s had the bulbs installed and been plugged into the wall once I found it won’t turn on it’s been leaning against the wall, I can’t imagine the bulbs are bad I just bought them 2 days ago and then yesterday, I’ve switched them all around to all possible orientations, so unless all the bulbs I’ve bought are bad then I can’t imagine that being the issue, but I can test them to ensure. They are ATI T5 54w from Bulk Reef Supply and then I went to Home Depot and bought Phillips t5 54w and there’s no difference the fixture reacts the same.

@AquaticLifeProducts I took a video of bulb testing but the file is too large, I will send pictures of the orientation when I get home

That looks like a continuity test, not sure if that verifies gas pressure too. It would be strange to have multiple bad lamps but similarly it would be strange to have two bad ballast.
Just let us know. I replied to your email with a few additional points too.

Making sure lamp sockets are matched has been one of the biggest problem causing all 4 lamps to not fire

@AquaticLifeProducts so I’m home now and i put the new bulbs in, the outside now comes on but not the inside, since I’ve verified these two bulbs work in going to swap them into the inside ballast and see if that works. Also pictures of how the bulbs are installed

TADA! Thank you so much for sticking through all my B.S. this was quite frustrating but I’m so happy I got the fixture working after a mixture of bad bulbs after bad bulbs and loose wiring. I’ll have to contact BRS again and let em know they sold me a bad bulb.
