What is your experience with this fixture? Don’t the reflectors corrode quickly without splash guards?

I have had one of these (the older version) for well over 5 years and although there are a few waterspots on the reflectors, I’ve had zero issues with corrosion. Mounted 10-15 inches off the surface of the water.
