Hey everyone, I finally am managing to start my build thread. Currently this tank is coming up on being 6 months old. I started out with everything stock (came with tank, some mechanical filtration, pump, skimmer, and sponge). The tank is pretty good quality, no leaks so far! The skimmer was a different story, it barely ever produced any skim. So I upgraded to the Coral Life biocube skimmer, and it works like a charm. The media was O.K., but now I run a phosnet, chemi-pure elite, and purigen. Kept the pump, and added around a 500gph sicce powerhead. I have mainly live rock, and one piece of non. Corals: Two flowerpots, hammer coral, frammer coral (Hammer + Frogspawn), rose anemone, palm tree coral (forgot official name), and a colony of trumpet corals. Fish: Valentini Puffer, two clowns, bicolor blenny. My light is a Hydra 26 HD. Thanks for reading! (I’ll add tank picture tomorrow).

Here’s some photos. Also pro tip: don’t place tanks on marble tables, once salt water gets on there erosion in the table occurs. I am learning that the hard way

Picture of tank in mostly blue. Plan are to move the trumpet to more shade, and move frogspawn because it’s gotten so big that it covers the hammer. Bonus: picture of wwc og bounce mushroom

Quick Update:
So I’ve determined that I’ll probably never be able to keep trumpets and Favias while I have my pufferfish, lol. All other corals are thriving. Added some snails yesterday to help with green hair algae, and will be doing a wc on Friday. Photo with uv filter

Update photo on the bounce mushroom, it’s looking healthy. This photo was taken right after I disturbed it by replacing the top of container it’s in, so bubbles are not as big as they usually are. I noticed a bunch of tiny clear bubbles in the back of mushroom (not visible in picture, I’ll try to upload one soon). Hopefully it continues to grow fast!

Ya couple turbo snails should knock out that hair algae and maybe a lawnmower blend. Looks good don’t stress too much about algae it’s a natural part of the reef.
Yeah I got some of those when I went to the lfs. But they always go to back wall of the aquarium and group up, lol.

Quick update: Everything is going pretty good, still battling gha but I’m having success with manual removal and snails. Corals are doing amazing, everything is growing. I’ll probably do a wc next weekend.
