Aquatop Xyclone Hob skimmer help

Hey everyone. Picked up an Aquatop Xyclone Hob skimmer today for our 125. The store has had this one running for a little while.

Got it installed and I'm a little confused. Tried to get as good of pictures and video as I could.

We've got a ton of micro bubbles going to the tank. Is it just adjusting to our tank? Store had no bubbles.

Where is the water line supposed to be with these in the tank? My tank water line is right above those notches. Not sure if it's supposed to be above or under the water, or right at the line to surface skim?

Last, the air line I guess was missing the adjustment. They just said to keep it where it could get air. However it is LOUD and has a gurgling noise. When I plug it, it goes silent, but then the collection cup starts filling with water instead of the foam. Is there something to fix this or do I just need to get the air line adjuster piece for the end of the tube?

Our BTAs are normally long tentacle and wavy like a torch. Since adding this skimmer yesterday, they have fluffed up a lot like the usual bubble tips I've noticed. Not sure if that's a good thing or not, but man is this thing pulling some nasty junk from this tank.

I was gonna go with a Reef Octopus Classic 2000, but I think this one will be fine especially with the amount of money saved. If it doesn't last for whatever reason, I'll definitely get the RO.

Anyone? Still have a ton of micro bubbles for a 'broken in" skimmer unless it's specifically having to adjust to my tank.

I've been running this exact PS on my 90 gallon since December. It is a bit erratic where it will run fine for a bit and then just start flooding. I've taken my output tube (for lack of a better term) down to a 5 gallon jug to collect the skimmate and any potential flooding. I've hear that it will get more consistent with use so I'm still hopeful but not overly positive. I have a lot of problems with the microbubbles coming from the input tube compression nut, which is actually how I found your post btw, but think a little hobby plastic will be the solution...I hope at least!

When I was first setting mine up I couldn't find anything on set-up or settings but these guys' vidyas helped a lot:
