My toadstool is looking so hot this morning.
Yesterday my Sinularia had a mass die off. Besides a huge water change is there anything someone could suggest.
Thanks in advance

what is the difference if any between carbon rox from BRS and activated carbon?

I'd also try to figure out what caused the sinularia to melt. They are generally durable but can be picky about flow.

I’m guessing it got too close to the BTA? It’s grown like craz, and I kept putting off trimming it back.

So
Less dust, higher capacity and higher price. It's basically fancy carbon
so I assume a fresh batch of rox and gfo will be good enough

Yeah, I'd avoid GFO unless you have issues with phosphates or silicate, which doesn't appear to be the case. Carbon and water changes should be sufficient.
