I got these snails 2 days ago and 4 out of 5 of them haven’t moved since. Acclimated them properly. Water chemistry is fine. Is it normal for them to not move?

You can't always tell with snails when you first introduce them. I've had snails (mainly nassarius types) that didn't move for up to a week. Snails can take a long time to acclimate and it seems that they will just lie there until they do.

my stomach isnt strong enough to smell dead snails, and my wife said no when I asked her.

I just wedge them on the sand so the 'foot' is facing the glass. If its alive it will stick to the glass, if it doesnt stick to the glass it is dead
