Are saltwater glofish possible

Is there anything stopping scientists from creating saltwater glofish, there are albino varieties with demersal eggs. I feel like it wouldn’t be hard to make something like glo clownfish. It’s also healthy for the fish AFAIK and in freshwater the glofish are fairly genetically healthy probably even better than generic skirt tetras and danios, etc cause they are newer lines.

I have been trying to get that coloring stuff for years. I think it comes from Jellyfish. I can get clear, grass shrimp by the ton and I would make them purple, green blue etc.

That sounds cool, I feel like stuff with pelagic larvae would be impossible to make glow though cause ther eggs are minuscule so no glow tangs and mandarins and angel fish sadly

The thing stopping them is the comparative difficulty in raising saltwater fish and the reduced volume of sales. That and the fact that saltwater fish are generally much showier than freshwater, meaning the comparative visual impact is dramatically reduced.

There is no scientific reason that says it should be substantially harder to do, there are just market reasons that say it makes no commercial sense to do.
