Are these AEFW eggs?

Noticed several of my corals have not been happy. Getting some revive tomorrow to see what comes off. Not the best video. You can zoom in and see they are some kind of egg

Doesn’t look like AEFW eggs, but something. Do you see bare patches higher up in the coral? Eggs will almost always be deposited on dead coral skeleton on the underneath side or on the plug. Fwiw, KCl (potassium chloride) has been the goto for many stickheads, you must treat them all and every 6 or 7 days for several weeks and let your display go fallow for a while or you’ll just reinfect. Here’s what they look like, I found this on one of my milliporas some time back. Couldn’t save it from the RTN that began shortly afterwards.

Hmm. If that’s without a microscope then I can’t visually see any. The vid came from a dead part.

If your parameters are in order and ICPs come back clean but you have limited polyp extension, dull coloration, and/or limited growth then SPS coral pests in the most likely explanation. Only reliable ways to rid are Interceptor or KCl all your SPS for several weeks straight.

Revive may help but that is not heavily relied upon by the hardcore SPS crowd. Interceptor and KCl are the go to if you listen to the SPS focused coral sellers.

I have some pure potassium chloride coming tomorrow as well. Need to research the dosage for dipping.

Looks like 2 TBS per gallon for 7-10 minutes is the correct dose for potassium chloride.

For KCl, the commonly cited method: 2 tablespoon per gallon, dip for 10 minutes. This is what I use for all coral I coding SPS, LPS and softies. Have never had any issues. The ReefLab KCl based dip recommends only 5 minutes.

Note also to get rid of any eggs, you should plan to dip once a week for 4-6 weeks straight for all your SPS not just the ones you suspect are infected.

I did multiple dips yesterday on a few corals and didn’t see any bugs or flatworms. Nothing came off.
