Hi Everyone

A friend leaving the hobby gave me this Duncan and this Tourch … despite the acclimation and etc, after 2 days at my tank they closed. I have been waiting and giving them time to adapt but today I notices this “gel” going out from them.

Are they dead? Should I removed them or give more time?

Thank you so much for your time

It does not look recoverable to me

I would tend to agree here with @Mr. Mojo Rising. I did have my Duncan go south temporarily and never did figure out what the cause was. But I gave them a 5 min dip and then it took them about 4 days before they began to open back up. Before you toss them you could try to move them to better flow and see if that helps but again they look pretty bad at this point so I don’t know if that would help in the long run.

I'm leaning towards them being probably dead. You can try and do what bonnieB said and see if they will recover
