Maybe you are trying out a new brand of food for your fish, a new coral that you have never had, or maybe you are doing a full-blown science experiment on your tank. Let's hear about what you are changing or experimenting with in your tank!

gonna try a new brand of food because my tailspot blenny is spoiled 😂

I tend to get distracted easily when something more promising pops up, but I'm currently mostly focused on the following "experiments":
  • My Copperband is a really picky eater, so I constantly try out different frozen foods and pastes to offer a more diverse diet. Unfortunately, he still only eats Artemia and Mysis so far...

  • A large variety of dinoflagellate-related experiments, including culturing them for further study, acquiring species I can't get to grow on my own, and trying to find out how large a role their phagotrophic capabilities might actually play during blooms.

  • Trying to find out if diatoms or other microalgae can be used as indicators of N and/or P limitation in reef tanks.

Recently dosed fluconazole to combat bryopsis and GHA. It's working. Also struggling to fight nitrates and phosphates from hitting 0. Dosing neonitro and neophos daily and playing with skimmer on/off.

Yep, yet again I'm trying to add more tunnels and rockwork that my two tilefish and two new razor gobies can dig under. I just swapped the base rock of my main scape for a smaller one so they can get underneath it more easily, and also experimented with designing and 3D printing a mesh tunnel structure like this:

Covered it in some sand:

Attached rock to it:

Final result, right in the front middle. I plan on covering it with gonis :)
