Indeed..... things are a bit out of control it would seem.... or is this just what someone wants to have happen... Perfect time for the new X-files movie!!! hah ah aaahhh ahhahah....Where are my cigarettes!

Yeah sure reminds you that "you are NOT in control";)

Im having a hard time buying the fact that gas in venezuala is 4% of what it is in the US.

If that were true, who wants to rent a tanker and take a drive with me??

If diesel is that cheap as well down there......at least gas on the way back would be cheap........

In Venezuela gas subsidies hold prices to 15 cents a gallon. Venezuelans pay some $700 million a year for 4.5 billion gallons of gasoline. The same fuel would fetch at least $10 billion sold to the U.S.

Personally I see a lot of downturns to this gas issue, but I think that if the US can keep their focus on alternative fuels we can eventually overcome this issue. Gas issues come in cycles and these cycles determine the public interest in finding other sources. IMHO there will be a return to normal pricing by the end of summer where people will forget about this gas issue and less money will go into alternative fuels. If we do not keep our focus on alternative fuels then we will relive the gas issues of the past and present.

The key in my point of view is to remember that we do not control gas so we should find a source that is more beneficial to our needs. It will be a hard road in the next few years, but it will be much harder if we do not make these steps now.

I do not watch the news because its always bad news. Do they have to charge this for the gas or are they doing because they can? The last time I heard anything about oil companys, Exxon made over 80 billion in profits in one year. Why can't they lower the price a little and help us out? Is this the presidents fault? Who should I blame? Its all about money. The presidents gas tank is full everytime he needs to go somewhere so why should he care.

Oil Companies do not set the prices ,the market does...Just like dairy farmers do not set the milk prices! We live in a country where the market(stockmarket)sets prices. If you are invested in any funds or stocks, you are involved as well.Unfortunately for most, the people with the most money, control the stock market.
