Assistance with Fluke diagnosis and process

A couple of things - copper power is mild, but because of that, you need to run it longer, 30 days is what I suggest. Also, that 76 day fallow period is based on an error, but it’s so firmly imbedded in the internet, it won’t go away. 76 days works, but so does 60.

I’m not sure I understand - you can’t expose snails to copper. What is a “cleaner” - a cleaner wrasse? If so, it needs to be treated with copper also.
Sounds good. I’ll do at least 30 days and treat accordingly by extending if needed. Thanks for the clarification regarding the fallow period - I just want to ensure I don’t run into the issue again after reintroduction. Will wait a few weeks before bringing each fish in.

I currently have the fish, cleaner shrimp, and 5 snails in the display. I’ll be removing the fish today and was going to keep the cleaner shrimp and snails in the display during fallow

Oh, I understand. Yes, anything that is not a fish can stay in the tank as it goes fallow - coral, other invertebrates, macro algae, etc.

@Jay Hemdal

fish are in qt - are there any fluke treatments you’d recommend during copper power/nitrof? If I see a lot of rubbing would you recommend swapping from copper qt to prazi and then back to copper?

Thanks

You can do prazi and copper together, it is just more stressful (but so are flukes!). I do not know if nitrofurazone can be used with prazi though.
