In the morning if I haven't cleaned the front glass for a few days I find a lot of Asterias on my front glass. I made this little Asteria starfish scoop which does the job removing and catching them in the net. Cost me £3.49p UK pounds.
1 x 4" net £1.50
A. 4" scaper with 5 blades £1.99p.
Attached the blade with small cable ties, add a blob of super glue gell and bend handle to suit. You only want the blade to be at a slight angle to the net so the net rim passes over the top of the stars and to ensure most if not all the stars are scooped up.
Job done.
