my only gripe with the nano one was one that i fixed. My base plate loosened a bit and didn't have the friction it used to. So if i moved the skimmer the body would come off the plate. the fix was that the bubble chamber/plates inside still can be removed so i put a couple dabs of glue in the channel the body sits in. it has worked like a charm since. My issue may have been due to the extreme heat this past summer when it was stored in the garage between usages.

pic from last year. i removed the silencer since i'm now running CO2 scrubber and have that connected directly to the volute intake. I get the amount of skim in this pic in 3 days. I also have different sump now

picture of roomier sump from 9 months ago. Sumps a Tideline 20. the sump compliments the skimmer well

Where is your air silencer?
LOL. sorry, been off the forums for a while.

Silencer is in my fish cupboard. Unless the sound is unbearable, I always pull my silencers because they require more maintenance in my experience (dust, salt build up etc..). the last year + I've been running the air intake hose direct from the venturi to a CO2 scrubber. Dang good performing skimmer. Only thing i don't like is the small volume cup. i run a drier skim when i hook the nano up so i don't have to constantly monitor it like i do with medium to wet skimming.
i bounce between the Nano one and my Akula. Both outstanding skimmers BTW. I'm going to run the nano one's air star on my bubble king 130 that's been shelved for a while because i think the new BK pump is junk. that air star DC should rock the BK.

oh and by the way, to all of those that thought the DC airstar was a concern on the new ATBs, mine has been flawless. Only issue i had was to not disassemble the pump once when i took it off line for a month and the bearings locked up. a quick disassembly & soak in a little warm water freed things up and it's been right as rain ever since.

I have run one for 3 years on a 40 breeder with 40 breeder sump. About 65-70gal total
Nice!

it's really a very, very good skimmer!

When i move i have to convince my wife that i need the peninsula tank i've been eyeballing. and i really want the elegance 200 with that new sicce SDC pump. solid design and intriguing pump
