Hello All
Looking for some help in having a 6 bulb ATI hybrid Powermodule reference settings for a LPS dominated tank . 85% lps and 15% sps .

Currently the fixture is running on leds at 85% intensity ( RB, Blue and violet at max and whites at 30) and 4 ( 3 actinic blue and 1 super actinic) t5 bulbs at 100% and 2 (aquablue coral)at 60%.

2 x mp40s on opposite sides 6" from the top at 90%. Dosing Aquaforest 3 part balling,

Some help/guidance would be appreciated.

Also if anyone can share their tried and tested settings they can mail me at [email protected]

Thanks.

Do you have a PAR meter by chance? If not, how do the corals look? Any bleaching of SPS? Are the LPS not fully extended? If there are signs of bleaching and/or reduced extension, it could be a sign of too much light.

@Yanir34 , I know you run T5 and you have an absolutely stunning tank. What are your thoughts on this?
Well my T5 fixture is ATI power module with 10 bulbs , no led's.
(Although I have tried to combine 2 kessils 360X , it was nice in terms of shimmer)

For LPS dominant tank , I think that 4 blue plus + 1 actinic + 1 coral plus will be great.
About the LED's -try to eliminate the white channel and turn down the overall intensity to 50% .
The hybrid is very powerful fixture that can burn corals easily , if it is not operate at proper way .

@Rocks reef
Thanks for stopping by.
Yes i do have a par meter but how does one know how much light is too much or too less!! Agree that corals are best indication of that but at the moment i am not getting the expected growth/coloration with the sps. Now again that can be attributed to other things as well like additives etc , but once lighting is taken care then i can move to other things.
Attaching my par readings. Fyi fixture is 11” above water level.

Thanks for your inputs
At the moment i am running Geisemann bulbs and since i have renewed two bulbs i have reduced it to 60% to avoid direct blasting from new bulbs.
When you say overall intensity to 50% , you mean t5 + leds? Coz ati says not to run t5 lower than 50%.

Thanks

Put the T5 at 100%

Led's at 50%

Noted. But then what abt the sps at the top!!
Would i need to check the par again or avoid chasing it?

Thanks
is its mixed reef tank , i think that 4 at the top and 150 at sandbad will be good readings

Yes , it’s supposedly a mixed reef tank with just 5-6 sps at the top. They count may go up but not more than 10 given the space

Thanks
