Good evening,

Today my results came in for my first ICP test. What would you guys/gals add or not add to get everything in the ideal range. I just recently switched from using FRITZ to Tropic Marin Pro Reef salt. I have only changed out 10G since the transition. Please see attachment for test results.

Pages 6-8 tell you exactly what and how much to add.

I do not recommend following such company advice. Whether self serving to promote their own products, or just suggesting things that I believe are inappropriate, I do not know, but I would not simply follow the advice in this report.

For example, they recommend dosing lithium and rubidium, neither of which have any known use in any known organism.

Are you dosing anything with trace elements now?

I would raise salinity a little bit.

I am not convinced it is useful, but I might consider experimenting with a trace element supplement that contains iodine.

Manganese, iron, and vanadium may be useful, and most combo supplements will contain them.

Randy,

So up until last week I was using FRITZ salt, dosing the basics, Alk, Mag, Cal, occasionally Manganese, NeoPhos, and a little NeoNitro. Im not sure how true it is or how much it's a personal preference but I was told FRITZ contains pretty much nothing beneficial element wise. I'm definitely not following what they recommend. I will dose Manganese more often for my Gonis. As far as other trace elements I don't dose anything. My Calcium is a little high but that's on me. As far as Strontium being critically high, idk how or why that happened. Do you have a recommendation as to what you would dose for trace elements? Preferably and AIO?

As a general thought, I personally do not think salt mixes matter much for rapidly depleting trace elements, including manganese, iron, and iodine. Whatever was in the mix disappears rapidly.

I'd consider a trace element supplement such as Tropic Marin A and K, or just switch to AFR for everything.
