ATO problem.

Hi, I'm currently using the ATO sensor in the main display tank, I have noticed the water level is higher at one end of the tank and lower at the other end obviously meaning the tank isn't levelled correctly, will this effect the ATO sensor? If so can the problem be resolved without leveling the tank as it'll be nightmare to drain it. Thanks

Put the sensor in the middle
But hey wait a minute by how much? And how big is the tank?

The tank is 240litres, I'm not sure how much it's unlevel by I can check that I thought I would need to put the sensor at the lowest point

How much is the difference between one side vs the other?
Your sensor should be in a position within a tank of high flow

If we are talking 10mm or 1/2 inch I wouldn't be too concerned
But more than that I would be draining it and levelling it.
Tanks out of level tend to break and crack, they are not designed to be out of level

Currently the fish tank is sat on the floor as I'll be moving house soon and I thought I'd get a new fish tank as well so all fish and corals are in a quarantine tank/house moving tank. So I think the house being unlevel is causing the fish tank to be unlevel.

Do you have a picture of the tank with a leveler? I would just move the ATO to the middle of the tank.

You’re gonna want to fix the level issue first and foremost, or you might not have to worry about that ATO.

The tank is sat on the floor it isn't sat on a cabinet or stand so I think the level issue should be alright, the floor will be taking the weight of it evenly I believe. I think I have fixed the ATO issue the sensor itself was affected by the light. I have put another one in the tank as I failsafe just incase the original one stops working, Thanks for the help everyone

unless the tank is on an unstable surface the amount of tilt won’t change over time so overall the placement of the sensor does not matter much. as long as it’s placed at the normal height for that part of the tank, everything else will continue to work out the same
