I am looking for a reliable ato. In the past I ran a tunze, currently trying to coax along a jbj. Both have failed me by not pumping water into the sump. Is one better then the other? Is there a different better brand?

And before anyone says, yes I have cleaned the sensors.

Do you mean the sensor failed or the pump failed? Had a Tunze for about a year now with no issues and have friends with them in use for multiple years with no issues. Must have just gotten a lemon. They have a great reputation for reliability.

Spectrapure UPLC-II. I have been using it for over 6 years now trouble free.

I second the UPLC-II, I had previously ran the JBJ then upgraded to the Spectrapure

On the tunze j want to say it was one of the sensors. The jbj seems finicky. One hour it works, next hour it isn't. I have a ten gallon for the ato pump to pull from, some nights the level doesn't change and I manually top off, then during the day it works.

I will look into the spectrapure.
