Go figure, i go away for a week and my ATO decides to stop pumping water. From what i can tell, it’s an issue with the float. Atleast this is what i can tell via a facetime call with my mother inlaw. So i ask, what is everyone’s preferred ATO. Looking for something that is very very reliable!

I have 2 kamoer ATO’s, I’ve decided I’ll probably stick with them for life. One is 6 years old the other is 4 years old, both are perfect have never failed me in any way knock on wood.

Tunze Osmolator 3

I'm at about 10 years with my JBJ ATO.
I have about 4 on my Avast unit now.

My jbj ato gave out on me after 10 years earlier this year and I tried the nature dimensions smart ato. So far I’ve been very impressed with it. Seems way better quality that the $70 it costs.

I have a tunze osmolator 3 and a kamoer ATO one 2 ST. I was a bit sceptical about using the kamoer so I installed that one with an additional overflow shut-off switch. I’m new so they’ve both only been running for about 4 months. Love them both, though.

Tunze osmolator-3 with hydros sensor backup. 🙂

I’ve got the older tunze 3155 on my main display and a newer osmolator 3 nano on my frag tank. Both quality kit IME. Nothing is perfect but these are both close. Tunze is a 3rd generation reef manufacturing company. Make trustworthy aquarium tech. Their skimmers, pumps, and accessories are all good from my experience and by reputation. @rvitko from Tunze USA is also very helpful if/when you need support.
