Struggling to get my NO3 above 1ppm with the result my cyno has got worse. I have upped my feeding and have now turned my skimmer off. Lets see what affect that may have before considering dosing nitrate.

Cyno is getting better slowly. I have added more sand tonight as it was a bit thin on the ground.

2 new additions today. Love common firefish esp in a true pair
Fingers crossed as I bought one bigger than the other which the only way I know of trying to pair them. They are swimming together but we will.see.

Difficult to say. However, I just buy 2 different sized ones then fingers crossed. Not sure I have a genuine pair as yet whoever.
I have just done the same with 2 midas blennies so fingers crossed again.

New acquisition yesterday a nice copperband after a gifted one I recieved wouldn't eat. This new one eats and is a nice a specimen as I have seen for sale.

There’s one in the centre that look well good with water movement, how you finding running the tank without a skimmer? Used to be one of your favourite piece of gear

Like many things I do it's an experiment running with the skimmer switched off. So far all looks good, perhaps the water isnt quite as clear but then I don't run any kind of prefiltration at all. I may try running it just at night next.

Turned my skimmer back on to run while lights are off now. Will see if I notice anything.i did notice today my PH had droppedc slightly this morning.
