*ATTENTION* to SoCal Shop Owners

Long story short, our shop was broken into on Sunday, 10/28 at around 4 AM in the morning.

At around 3 AM these thieves broke our lock box and came back an hour later stealing a lot of our dry goods.

Alarm was sounded but no one was dispatched, nor did we get a call.

Just wanted to remind any local shop owners to always be safe and cautious with your shops as this really hurts any type of business.

You, as a hobbyist, please pass this on to local shop owners! We want them to be on alert.

That's a really crappy thing for them to do. I'm sorry you got robbed. And for the thieves to have any idea what those products are worth, they are either hobbyists themselves, or have connections to hobbyists. Have your local clubs and whatnot keep and eye on Craigslist, Ebay, etc. At least they didn't sabotage any livestock!

And yeah, sounds like it's time for a new security company. Review that contract- if they were negligent, you may be able to file a claim to recover some of your losses.

Sorry to hear about this. Just terrible. Totally unacceptable from the Alarm Company. Did you file a police report? Seems you would have some recourse against ADT for insurance purposes. Best of luck!

Good point. Will look into that contract. We’re already working with insurance.

And yes it is sad but you know stuff like this happens in the world we live in unfortunately, what can you do :( We will for sure check on Craigslist as well! Thanks for all of the advice.

Yes we had to call the police, because no one was dispatched :/ Thank you for your wishes. We are looking into it with ADT. Definitely not happy with them.
