I just bought one of these and wanted some input. This was one of the first corals I really liked. I got one before and it died. It was not doing that well anyway when It was given to me. Since that I have never tried again, that was 12 years ago.

I have heard about there being problems with them lately but I got it from a trusted seller so I thought I would try it again.

Any help as far as placement flow light etc. would be appreciated. I fear that if it took me 12 years to try it again if this one dies I will never have one.

Thanks.

The aussie elegances are pretty darn tough. Flexible as far as lighting/flow goes. Try medium lighting and medium flow to start with and adjust as necessary.

+1. Mine likes a medium flow and is on the bottom of my tank. The Indo ones are the elegance having that disease issue. I've had my Aussie for almost 6 months now, and it just keeps growing. I think it's about 14" across now. It's a hungry monster!
