I just received a new frag and it's not doing well. I need advise on what to do. It's bleaching and not extending.
Water parameters:
Specific Gravity: 1.025
Temp: 77.7 degrees
NH3: 0.00 ppm
No2: 0.00 ppm
No3: 0.50 ppm
Po4: 0.02 ppm
Ca: 400 ppm
Kh: 8.7 Meg/L
Mg: 1,580 ppm
The frag is placed in the sand on the bottom. Low light area, since it only arrived yesterday. It's sitting along with the other frags (all doing well) and there seems to be no evidence of any coral warfare going on.
Here's the frag's current condition:
I have a hammer and a frogspawn in the same tank. Both doing well. The hammer is currently growing a third head. Both have been in the tank for about two months now.
Here's what I tried already to help the torch settle.
1. Moved to higher flow area. Some slight improvement in extension.
2. Moved to lower flow area. Seems to make little difference
Anything else I can do?
