Hi Reefers :)

I have called desperately in love with an Australian Stripey- I think it is a gorgeous fish that would make a great addition to my little community.

Q: What should I do?
A: Forget about it, it is just a fling
B: Go for it! It's a match made in heaven

The tank in question is a FOWLR (... for now!) measuring 5' x 2' x 2' (Cade S2 1500) with below tank mates (its a lot, I know!)

2 x Common Clown Fish
1 x Timor Wrasse
1 x Blue-Sided Fairy Wrasse
1 x Lawnmower Blennie
1 x Bi-Colour Blennie
1 x One-Spot Foxface Rabbit Fish
1 x Pink Spotted Watchman Goby
1 x Purple Fire Fish
1 x Long Nose Hawk Fish
1 x Royal Gramma
1 x Bengali Cardinal Fish
1 x Coral Beauty
1 x Cherub Angel Fish
5 x Lyretail Anthias'
1 x Yellow Tail Purple Tang
1 x Tomini Tang
1 x Blue Regal Tang

They are quite nice and peaceful, just not fleshy lps safe at all, mine destroyed my Micromussa. Will also eat aiptasia, nice fish for a fowlr, or possibly sps only reef
That's uplifting to know, just gotta convince the missus she can't have any LPS in there :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes: She's all about the movement..

Cheers!

honestly if you want LPS, ignore it. These are peaceful but not with coral as they devour it. In a 5’ tank I’d also be cautious about the size they get (9” and incredibly active).

Go for it, I added 8 to 6 systems that were over grown with aiptasia, and within 2 weeks there is no visible aiptasia in any of our systems. These guys are very very aggressive and active fish, one of my tanks I put a school of 5 of them together and they chip at each other quite a bit, but they don't bother any other fish in the system. I have seen them nip at my Duncans, and they can be known to nip LPS if they aren't well fed.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
