Whazzup guys, just got a really nice colony of austrolamussa. tried feeding it but it doesn't eat. i fed mysis and fauna marin LPS food. both no eating. It's coloring up and really fat and happy but ??????? anyone let me know if i'm doing wrong. also it's on the bottom of my tank on a small low rock arrangement.

thats odd mine fed from the 1 st day
i add a little coral frenzy in the tank then 15 mins latter turn pumps and feed fauna marine pellets

They will eat, they are just slow about it... Keep trying with all pumps off for 1 hour

ok will try that. ...last nite i did try feeding it and when i came back 1.5 hrs later the fauna marin pellets were gone but idk if it was hermits or my lawnmower blenny that sneaks food away from corals at night when i shine my flashlight to feed.

Try feeding oyster feast, my LPSs all love it, but you have to turn off pumps and filters for at least an hour or it blows away.

also where is this guy supposed to be? tank placement wise? high, medium? light? high, medium flow?

Very low light, flow does not seem to matter too much... probably low to medium. They seem to show best color in shaded areas of my tanks, which is on the bottom, usually underneath a frag rack. I'm thinking these are collected fairly deep.

oooh.. ok i need to get mines under my overhang then.....darn i got it at the bottom of the tank on the sand but under 250w halides 14k phoenixs.
