I'm working on setting up an auto water change using a 2nd apex tpump to add fresh salt water to my aquarium and a T off my gfo reactor with 2 apex solonoids to drain the old water out. I will be using the apex ATO for the sensors and to fill the correct amount up.

My question - the only place to store my ro/di 55g barrel and salt water 55g barrel is sandwiched next to the dryer and wall, maybe a 1/16 of clearance. The ro barrel is touching the dryer exhaust duct. I could add some heat shield from a car project if I need to. Do you think this would cause an issue with the proximity to the dryer? I suspect that it will be fine as the water will displace the heat, but I don't want weird leaching issues or 55g of water on the floor... so I figured I would get some other opinions.

Why not do a test? Put a jug of water next to the dryer with the same clearance and measure the temperature after running a load. You can experiment with different insulation options and not worry about what-ifs.
