hey guys. I was wondering if there were any good autofeeder DIY as my wife and I take vactions pretty much yearly and being military I dont trust anyone just yet in my house alone since I do not know anyone. This is the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on a tank when I get back to the US (meaning my wife wants vacations guranteed. lol)

Im actually looking at modifying a version of another Autofeeder. Seems pretty good. I just may need to put my own spin on it. If i can It will stay permanent. Chime in if you have any input on it.

What do you want to feed and how long will you be gone? I bought the ehim auto feeder a few months ago and have used it twice already with success. I will only feed flake or pellets though. I am not sure I would trust it for 2 weeks or anything but a long weekend would be fine.

+1 on the eheim Everyday Feeder. I bought one after doing lots of research on the ones that were available, and it is by far the best (as far as reviews go).

Isnt the Eheim a solid food only feeder? How do you feed your corals with it? What do you feed your corals? I am looking for something that will last two weeks or so.

Eheim for me I have it for more than 15 years and like 5 years i got another one to have a most actual and redesigned one .

Used it a lot of times and went for trips of 3 months without any problem .
I only use pellets since flakes get mushy

You can find it on amazon at great price

Eheim feeder here as well, feed your fish, and the fish will uhm...feed your corals!lol
2 weeks, you better have a big auto top off, and I'd have a controller linked to my phone, and still have a friend or neighbor w/ a key.

I just ordered the Eheim Auto-feeder myself for an upgrade and will be modifying my DIY holder bracket which I feel is necessary for use on most Reeftanks. I came across a picture somewhere showing something similar so built this one to keep all the food from being sucked into the overflow, the link to my DIY thread is here >>>> https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/do-yourself-diy/142732-~-simple-do-yourself-auto-feeder-adapter-~.html

Picture with current feeder on it which works well but would like the advantages the Eheim offers.

I use a feeder ring with my feeder but this is a cool bracket and looks to work even better.
