So I'm sure some of you have thought of that at some point, I know that for me this is one of the most annoying parts of having a reef tank. I can deal with the water changes and the like but I can't be consistent on my glass cleaning and I'd love it to get automated.

I've looked it up a bit and there are only two automatic glass cleaners I've found :

- MOAI, which had a successful Kickstarter late 2017 but seems to have disappeared with the money? No update nowhere, still shows preorder on their website etc...

- Robosnail, which looks hard to find in the EU and I'm not even sure it's a great product.

Is there something else I've been missing?

Seems like they've had quite a few delays. Rewards were scheduled to be fulfilled in 2018.

Id be interested to hear from a backer on the experience this far. I cant read the update posts.

Would be interested too, the price seems really good too as 200 for an automatic cleaner including a camera I can use for monitor my tank sounds pretty "reasonable".

This would be the dream. I haven't seen anyone raving about it, so I think the technology isn't there yet to deliver to our expectations.

I backed MOAI, I've pretty much written it off at this point so if it does show up one day it'll be a pleasant surprise.

?? Not going to, was just commenting on the difference between those because one is about 300 and doesn’t cover half my tank when the other one is the price of my tank while ruining the look of it. I don’t know why you’re feeling attacked by my opinion on a random product...

You stated you could only find two products and asked if there were any others you were missing. You didn't state a budget or tank size but said you'd love to go automated so I searched and posted up what I found even stating it was expensive. It is the only one I've found that will actually clean the entire glass including around corners. I'm not "feeling attacked" by your response, your only response was "expensive and really ugly", I just responded in kind.

I'd use that ocean swipe on a really big tank where I could park it in one of the side/back corners. It would be way too intrusive on smaller tanks though.

Alternatively get your Po4 down to extend the glass cleaning frequency and get the best mag cleaner you can, make the job easy and you'll more likely do it.
