Hello All - I wanted to introduce myself since I’ll likely be posting a lot in this forum. I’ve been out of the hobby for about 20 years, got back into it about a year ago. How things have changed. I had a 90g before that was doing pretty well, but had to move, bought a house, had some kids, and never picked up the hobby after. I still have a little treasure trove of equipment in my basement, albeit 20 yrs old. My new tank is a 180g peninsula rimless. I’m going through the usual growing pains with a 1 yr old tank, hair algae, re-learning what to do and how to cope. I read this thread (https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/should-i-just-restart.1057368/page-7) and it’s exactly what’s happening in my tank. I’ve got a fuge, nice skimmer, UV light, Apex controller, and AI lights. I’m run the lights on the lower end hoping that will not encourage algae growth. Also have a Duncan colony, Leather, Torch, Candy Cane, Monitpora, and Kenya Tree. A couple tangs, two clowns, a couple pajama cardinals, sand sifting blenny, and a couple others. Looking forward to the challenge and discussing topics with everyone here. Thanks!
