You will never guess what I paid for this sweet frag pack, go ahead make a guess.
Also traded a frag for a good sized Superman monti, not the OG Superman but still nice.
Pics as I was dipping and right after gluing to rock so nothing is happy.

The damsel has been in QT for just over 2 weeks now. It has been beey active, eating everything I feed it, no signs of illness or disease and I did a Prazipro treatment. I am thinking its time to add it to the main display. Next I need another tang and an easy wrasse.

Tried putting the damsel in the display tank a few days ago. It did not go well. The psuedo I have is very aggressive and it instantly attacked the damsel. I gave it a few hours and the damsel was trying to fight off the psuedo but it was chased up into a corner and its tail got shredded. So I easily caught the damsel and put it back in the QT. The psuedo did not swim away unscathed, its dorsal fin has a nice sized chunk missing. I wish I could catch the mean punk, I may try the fish hook method.
Yesturday I got another 6 line wrasse to replace the one that jumped, due to the psuedo, and a nice little Tomini Tang. Both fish have a job to do in my reef. The tang is for algae control and the wrasse for flatworms and coral pests. I am hopping adding all 3 fish in QT at once to the tank will help disperse the aggression of the psuedo.

Fish in QT are doing well. I have started to feed my fish more and feeding the corals Red Sea Coral Nutrition A and B 2 ml daily. Over the last week I have seen a few montipora deepen in color. My green birds nest however is taking a hit from the low nutrients, its been pale and pastel and a few days ago it had some burnt tips. Still progressing slowly but there are a few spots that are darkening up. Yesturdays water test is still showing 0.00 ppm no3 and about 0.04 ppm po4. The QT tank however has plently of no3 at 4+ ppm.

Good luck with getting nitrates up, the corals will love you for it! :)

Well crap, no3 just because a low priority. Came home from work after seeing my grandmother who is about to pass away and found that for some odd reason my ATO dumped all 5 gallons into my sump. The on top of that my wife saw the res was low and refilled it. Nearly had a flood and my salinity dropped from 1.025 to 1.022. Everything looks uneffected as of now and Im mxing up some tank water with more salt right now. Going to bring salinity up a little tonight and a little tomorrow. Also of coarse my skimmer overflowed and dumped what was in the cup back into the tank, good thing I just cleaned it yesturday. Plus my alk will have dropped with the salinity. I still need to figure out what caused the ATO to fail to stop adding water, 10 months and no issues until now. Excuse me now, Im going to bang my head on the wall, what a day.

Odd thing is that the ATO setup is working fine. It's just a single float switch on my Reef Keeper Lite running and Aqua Lift pump amd a one way check valve, pretty simple setup that has worked for 10 months perfectly. But yeah ouch. Hope it does not make all my sps mad. My green birds nest was already on the decline from the low no3.

Hopefully. Just going to take things slowly. Last night I added 1.035 salinity saltwater to my ATO and let it slowly refill the tank over several ours until my sump was full enough to turn my skimmer on and turn the flow back up on the return pump. Im mixing up some saltwater and going to do a 10g water change. And I think I will just slowly bring salinity the rest of the way up with water changes.

Everything still doing good this morning. Well except the green birds nest, which was having problems before the salinity drop, very pale from low nutrients.

I will be getting some PAR readings on my reef in a couple of hours. I will post results. Salinity was 1.024 yesterday and today is water test day. Reef is still looking normal my anacropora may have paled a little and the birdsnest looks to be coming back. All fish in QT are doing well and getting along in the 10g tank. Pics soon.

Got PAR readings on my tank yesturday, thanks a bunch Jay, and it was water test day.
Here is a pic of a crappy sketch of my tank with all the PAR readings we measured.

I am pretty happy with how the lighting is performing. Spread of the lighting is great as to be expected from MH. PAR at most or my acros is in the 200 range, 170 on the sand, 350 at the very top of the water. Water testing was normal and stable, salinity is still at 1.024 but thats it. Now for some new pics for yesturday.

Well its looking like the salinity drop has had no negative effects on the tank. The green birds nest has continued to slowly STN away. Sucks its the first coral thats has died in this tank. I believe it was from a prolonged lack of nutrients judging by the pale pastel color it had for a few months.
The colors in my acorpora and montipora seem to be continuing to improve, richer and more vibrant. Sadly im sure my camera will not capture it properly but I will try here soon. I think the daily feeding of Red Sea Coral Nutrition AB is helping a lot. I may try Acro Power when the AB is gone.
