@DesertReefT4r Just finished going through most of the thread. Great job so far!

Question for you. I read that you used electric conduit tubing to hang your MH from. Can you tell me what you used to secure the tubing to your stand/floor?

Mounted to my stand using conduit brackets. Thanks for checking out my build!

@erk Thanks for your help with the Prazipro. I did a food soak with it a few days ago and had no issues with my reef. I have not seem and string pop since either so far at least.

That is great to hear. Hopefully it only takes one treatment, but keep a close eye on your fish to make sure they don't get reinfected.

Did you bind the medication with focus, or just soak the food straight with the prazi?

I just soaked the food in prazi for 10 minutes, drained the excess and fed it to the tank. I did look into Focus though, just felt it was not needed in my case since my fish are healthy eaters and prazi is reef safe. So I was not too concerned about it not getting to the fish of leaching into the water, I understand it dissipates from water quickly anyways.

Cool I was just curious. I forgot it was just prazi you used, not prazi plus metro. Pretty sure metro isn’t safe without using focus.

Little update. Did a large water change on Thursday about 23g. My alk is starting to drop a little so I wanted to replenish everything. Sadly my cleaner shrimp died after doing so well for so long, thinking maybe my psuedo is guilty. Also my sixline wrasse was found last night dead on the floor and I know the psuedo did that since he has been chancing the wrasse for months. Need to make a lid.

I was spot feeding my corals last night with all the flow off in the tank. I was impressed at how much things have started to encrust and base out, colors are looking pretty decent as well. I will take some pics later today. The family and I are going to a large local Aquarium call Odyssea, was there last there 3 years or so ago right after it opened some hope it will be better this time. Once I get back I will take some pics and post an update.

On a side note me and my family went to the Odysea Aquarium yesturday and I took a bunch of pics to share. Sadly no real reef tanks a few corals here and there but that's it. They need a large reef imo but it was fun and better than my last time there.

Getting amd keeping good color has always been a challenge for me. Don't know why but I hope to figure it out this time around.

Update, not that good. Lost half a head on my multi color acan and also 1 on my green acan, yeah yeah micromussa bla bla. Water tests from Saturday are in check and still stable, the alk and cal drop is very slow and not enough to cause an issue, we are talking .1 alk a week and 10 ppm cal. I am ordering BRS 2 part starter on Friday along with some Neo Nitro. Not sure why the sudden tissue lose on the acan/micro, growth has been good on them with several new heads growing. I do feed them a couple times a week as well. I will keep an eye on them, so far it has not gotten worse and the other heads look good. I am ordering the Neo Nitro because I cant get a detectable no3 reading at all. I dont want to feed any more heavily and Red Sea Coral Nutrition has increased my need to clean the grren film off the glass. SomI am just going to dose no3 to get a detectable 1-3 ppm and see how the tank responds. I have also stopped running the filter sock for now to "dirty" it up some. Current tests.
Alk 8.1 dkh
Cal 410 ppm
Mag 1340 ppm
No3 0.0 ppm
Po4 <.08 ppm
Salinity 1.025

Little update. Alk, cal and mag are definitely being consumed by the corals. Everything is growing/encrusting. My cal dropped 5 ppm and alk .3 dkh in a week. Good thing I should be getting my 2 part on Thursday to start hand dosing until I get a doser. No3 is still undetectable and po4 is holding stable at about .08 ppm.
Traded a couple frags with a local R2R member Pyroferus, super cool guy. Some nice little sps frags but need some coloring up. I also picked up another nice chalice few days ago. Pics to come.

Managed to suck up my hammer coral doing a water change. Damaged half of it, needless to say I am not to happy. Look down at the waste water bucket for 2 seconds and bam syphon hose got it. It was healthy so it should bounce back for my clumsiness.
