Hey everybody! Glad to be here. It’s been a while since my last system was up and running. Had to leave the hobby because my company kept moving me all over the world. Shut down my last tank back in 2006, but finally got to a place I’ll stay for a while, so here we go again. Last handle was Acrophobia, but seems I can’t get that one back, so I’ll just be me for a while. I’ve decided to go with a WaterBox 220.6 with all the bells and whistles this time. There’s a lot of knew equipment and techniques to master, but the guys down at WWC are steering me well. They are a great bunch of guys And a lot of help. Will probably go right back to an SPS dominate tank. Those are my favorites. I’m going to start a little different this time. Tank will come in a month or so, so setting up all the peripheral stuff now to get ready for it. First is an RO DI set up for auto mixing and auto water changes. Didn’t have that before and really wanted it this time. Plumbing will be interesting. It will go through three different walls. RO tank will be in the garage and the saltwater storage tank will be in a closet close to the main tank. Decided to do it that way because of the heat hear in central Florida. Garage can get up to 100 degrees and didnt want to be doing auto daily water changes with hot water. 75 gallon saltwater storage tank in a coat closet. Haha! Kinda snug, but it fit. I’ll post some pictures when it’s finished. Next will be a quarantine tank to get ready for critters. Want them all cleaned up by the time the tank cycles in. Fish will be the standard Tang Gang and other worker bee fish to keep the tank free of unwanted’s. That’s about it for now. So glad to finally get back to a hobby/habit I love.

Welcome! Glad you joined. If you are interested and want to reach out to site admins you likely CAN get your old ID back.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This might help you find people local to you:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:

Thanks everybody. I had forgotten how much fun it is to just sit and watch the fish. Everyone with a different personality. Got my first four in quarantine, but at least I’ve started. DT has been delayed, so just running in circles right now waiting. Can’t wait to get the main system up, running and cycled in. Then I can start getting corals again.
