After a long hiatus from breeding, I've decided to get back into it.
Instead of clowns I'm going to breed a yellowtail and kupang damsel.
I should have my broodstock into the shop this Wednesday.
My breeding system will be something I've never tried before, as when I was breeding clowns I had a 450 square foot room to dedicate to, in NYC, not so much space. So I plan on 2 broodstock tanks, 2 hatch tank, a 2 20 high growout and a 20 long sump. I'm going to plumb that hatch tanks so that I can use different sized standpipes to incrementally raise as they grow. I'm going to filter the pipe with pantyhose, and use 1/4" airline as the return, increasing to 1/2" return with low flow as they grow. The plan to plumb to a sump I'm hoping will help with water stability.
We have a stack of bottom-drilled tanks in the shop basement, so I need to put together a stand and plumbing at the shop, then somehow get it all to my apt in Harlem.
