whats your PH running at?
pH is around 8.0 to 8.3 since I’m dosing kalk and doing 3-part dosing.

possibly iron, nutrient ppm or lighting then, as your ph is optimal range, I could tell they definitely are nice / unique, sometimes i find under heavier white/red spectrum they brown up or yellow up, tanks beautiful though and I actually like the odd coloration, that actually looks like an indo variety / locale IIRC, following for updates , ill share my mushie tank soon

Haven't sent in an ICP test for this tank in a long time! I run 4 tanks total so ICP test for 4 tanks every month would be cost prohibitive! lol I'm dosing 3-part using AF Pro 1/2/3 at 20mL/day but honestly haven't tested major/minor traces in a long time! SPS frags are growing so haven't bothered to send ICP.

Last November's params using Hanna:
Alk: 7 dKH (brought back up to 7.7 ~2 weeks ago)
NO3: 7.5ppm
PO4: 0.06ppm

I'm a sucker for mushrooms as well. What you don't see here and they are in the tank: Magic Carpet, OG Bounce, Raunchy Red, Juggernauts, and various other Solomon Islands yumas.

i just checked your other tanks and wow , insane, also the chalice you have appears to want to blanket the entire floor :D

also the nutrients are dialed, dkh could be better but you obviously know this , its always hard doing mixed reef dosing, as although we can see iron or lighting is the only two other issues, these are both hard to solve to keep everything happy, and obviously theres much nicer stuff in there ^.^ I have tried putting red shrooms on slow release iron rocks with mixed success, but find that if we know we are needing iron they are just better off in the fuge! as you will have to dose iron in the fuge anyways :)

This morning’s picture is below. It anchored but hasn’t opened wider yet. Flow is Constant mode at 25%. I’ve replaced the Zoas rock with a flat piece of rock, hoping it will climb & anchor there. Still no luck but we’re not pushing. I’m just praying that it will survive after 3mos! So far so good though.

Dealing with a super weird problem with the blue gig before the purple’s arrival. The blue compressed during peak photo period but inflated at night.

19.7ppm Nitrate
0.20ppm Phosphate
6.8dKH Alkalinity
1.026 SG

Is it possible that the low alk (high acidity) can affect the nem? I’ve just manually dosed soda ash to bring it up and will slowly increase 3-part dosing to keep with demand.

Two gigs are doing well. The blue is still going through its inflate/deflate cycles but seems healthy.

I’ve added a CBB 2 days ago to take care of some pesky aiptasias. This guy is awesome - almost zero aiptasias left. Begs the question: will it go after corals / gigs when it’s done?

How are the gigs doing?
Thanks for asking — unfortunately, I’ve lost both gigs due to infections! I’m done with gigs - these beautiful creatures belong in the sea and definitely out of my tanks. :(
