As you might know, I’m setting up a cold water tank for a Brown UK shore crab which has been “rescued” from a supermarket. The. Tank is around 4 weeks old now, and the crab is in.
Also at the same time I’m setting up a new reef aquarium. My question is, could I use some of the Bio balls from the crab setup in the new tank to help with cycling, or is there too much of a risk from parasites/bad bacteria from the crab? Would these have been filtered out mechanically before the bio media?
