Hi has anyone seen this type of white stringy stuff before ? Thinking maybe bacterial issue ? Reef is 18 months old but this issue only started recently. I’ve had Gha issue from the start up until the last 4 weeks where I seem to be winning the battle of it, maybe this is linked ?
I got my phosphate down to 0.01 4 weeks ago and since then the Gha been dying off. This white stuff is only in the sump

Thanks.
Gary

Can’t see the pic but it’s a bit risky trying to get rid of algae by limiting nutrients in my humble opinion.
