Bad Red Sea Alkalinity Test Kit

So I got the 3-in-1 Red Sea magnesium, calcium, and alkalinity. When I test the the alkalinity it never gives me the end color.

The number on the alkalinity tritation fluid vial is [HASHTAG]#22779[/HASHTAG] A13. Lot. 1045.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes I was just talking about this in another thread the end color is a peach color you won't get the red end color shown on the card ... Very difficult to know when the end color is reached

Same here the alk is very hard to read. I bought a hanna so much better.

Idk I was having trouble reading mine. I have now stared dosing to what red sea test was telling me. Now reading this I'm worried it was not a good reading. Going to test with my api tonight when I get home. What do I do if its out the roof high now?

From my understanding when doing the test you are looking for the color change and not the exact color on the chart. Maybe @Randy Holmes-Farley or @redfishbluefish can chime in on this as well.

This is correct. You are not looking to match the color on the card....simply looking for when it changes from one color to another, (and one more drop does not continue to change the color.)

Yeah but in the video his turns dark red on mine it turns into a greenish color then peach and if I keep adding regent it get darker and darker so very hard to tell when is the end color

Mine is a lot lighter color though than the one in the video than when I test my alk.
